Craig Calfee pioneered the modern bamboo bike, and this is a direct descendant of that design. An early chapter in that history. This is the 36th bamboo frame he built.
Beautiful smoked bamboo with dark tones throughout. Carbon wrapping at the joints. Too many cracks run through this frame. We've repaired it, but it's better seen than ridden. Art only.
Straight 1 1/8" head tube, BSA bottom bracket, 130mm rear spacing, rim brakes. 27.2mm seat post. Carbon fiber reinforcement at the joints. Cable stops molded into the wrappings.
Suitable to be built up with late 90's parts as a museum piece.
