TETRA ADVENTURE
As the oldest continuously produced model of carbon fiber bicycle frame in the world, it has evolved to a state of perfection and value unmatched by any other frame. The Tetra platform uses our strongest layup techniques, utilizing various carbon weave, carefully oriented in a high compression mold.
Tetra Classic: Equipped with 1 ⅛” Head Tube and offers a more supple ride paired with classic styling.
Tetra 44: Employs a 44mm Head Tube with an oversized down tube, offering a stiffer ride.
MANTA ADVENTURE
12mm of rear suspension travel paired with solid carbon fiber leaf spring chain stays makes the Manta an excellent machine for randonneuring or gravel racing. It is lightweight, efficient, durable, and unparalleled when it comes to comfort and ride quality.
The Manta’s rear suspension equipped with high modulus tapered carbon fiber tubing turns your ride into a harmonious dance, perfected through more than 30 years of frame building.
CUSTOM BAMBOO ADVENTURE
Calfee Bamboo bicycle frames are very stiff, transferring power efficiently; are durable, resisting damage from stress and impacts; are comfortable, surpassing aluminum, steel, titanium and most carbon frames in smoothness.
Our frames are equipped with Carbon-Lined Bamboo tubing for weight savings and increased stiffness, complete with hemp fiber wrapping at every tubing junction. Every rider is custom; each bamboo frame is custom built and tuned for your riding style.

Our paint shop has been painting carbon bicycle frames since 1989 and is widely regarded as the industry’s premier carbon paint & finish facility. Founded upon the DNA from our road frames, we designed our Adventure platform to be as versatile as you. Available in all of our models and tubesets, we build each frame to accept 700c, 650b, or both. The slackened head-tube and seat-tube angles allow for confidence on loose gravel roads, while preserving all the high-performance features. If you prefer an Adventure complete with frame bags, fender or rack mounts, you will travel in confidence and comfort without sacrificing weight or durability. We build every frame with your exact needs in mind. The Adventure is yours!
Calfee offers our Adventure platform in every tubeset: Manta, Dragonfly, Tetra, and Luna. It is important to note that each of our frame models have a specific purpose. For instance, the Luna utilizes our most durable tubeset, while the Manta utilizes tapered tubes and patented rear-suspension technology. Since each frame we make is exclusive to each rider, we want to help you discover exactly which model and platform best suits your riding style.
