Traveling with your tandem can be challenging but having your personal tandem with you when you travel is a satisfying option. We’ve decided it was time to help design adequate choices for new and existing customers (as well as non-Calfee customers).

TANDEM WITH ONE SET OF COUPLERS
One complete tandem can now fit inside the Tri All 3 Sports Pro Case, including both wheels! With minimal disassembly, you and your partner can be out riding your tandem in less than 20 minutes. With our one set of couplers system, we mount attachments inside the case to hold the two sections of your tandem securely. Be aware that this combination may result in a case that weighs over 70 pounds and many airlines have a 70 pound per piece luggage limit. For this reason, we now offer:
1 SET COUPLERS AND THE TRIALL3SPORTS COMPACT CASE AND WHEELCASE OPTION.
This option breaks the tandem into two pieces of luggage: everything but the wheels in one case and the wheels in their own case. You then negotiate with the counter person to charge you one bike fee since that’s what you are bringing. It’s just separated into two pieces of lighter luggage. With this method, you have more space for things like helmets, tools and other gear. And the wheels are better protected.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISASSEMBLY OF A 2 COUPLER BIKE:
LOOSEN ECCENTRIC BB
REMOVE TIMING BELT
IF YOU HAVE HYDRAULIC BRAKES, THERE ARE TWO OPTIONS:
1) WITH A ZENO HYDRAULIC LINE COUPLER, SIMPLY UNCLIP THE COUPLER.
2) WITHOUT THE ZENO COUPLER, REMOVE THE DISC BRAKE ADAPTER, DO NOT REMOVE THE CALIPER FROM THE ADAPTER
CAREFULLY REMOVE THE HYDRAULIC HOUSING OR DISCONNECT THE SPLITTER FOR MECHANICAL DISC BRAKES
ROLL UP THE HYDRAULIC HOUSING OR DISC BRAKE CABLE
DISCONNECT THE BOTTOM COUPLER FIRST
DISCONNECT THE TOP COUPLER SECOND
PULL APART THE TWO SECTIONS, REMOVE THE WHEELS, CAPTAIN’S HANDLEBARS AND THE STOKER’S SEATPOST WITH THE HANDLEBARS.
WRAP THE FRAME AND SOME OF THE PARTS IN THE LABELED PROTECTIVE COVERS.
INSERT THE TWO FRAME SECTIONS INTO THE CASE. ( FOR THE PRO CASE, AFFIX THE FRONT FORK TO THE BOTTOM OF THE CASE AND STRAP DOWN THE REAR SECTION)
PLACE EXTRA PARTS INTO THE CASE STRAPPED TO THE FRAME.
PLACE THE LID ON AND YOU’RE READY TO GO!
