CEPHAL (Cephalopod)
A highly intelligent, agile, adaptable creature that takes on many shapes and forms to suit its needs.
INTRODUCING OUR NEW LINE OF MOUNTAIN BIKE FRAMES (or is it just one frame? You decide!)
The Cephal frame comes equipped with an adjustable eccentric bottom bracket and replaceable headset flip plates. This allows you to change the head tube angle & height of the crankset to accommodate different length forks & tire sizes. #flipitandripit
Read below how one frame can be setup in four different modes.
Enduro: A big tire, send it, mullet bike with 160 mm front travel.
Trail: A steep seat angle, slack head angle hardtail with 140 mm of travel up front.
Cross Country: A classic lightweight hardtail with 100 – 120 mm front suspension
Big Adventure: A drop bar, big tire adventure bike suitable for racing or bike packing
ENDURO
The Enduro (FreeDuroMullet) is a no rules, trail aggressive, send it but don’t bend it type of bike that makes the most of the mullet style setup. With a 29” x 2.5 front tire, a 27.5” x 2.5 rear tire, and a 160mm suspension travel fork, our Enduro setup manufactures the business up front, while the party goes big in the back. With our solid carbon leaf spring chainstays, our lightweight Cephal frame can tackle anything your body can handle. The geometry is halfway to a full suspension bike but with the civility of a hardtail.

TRAIL
The Trail (Trayl) bike is a fantastic, . . . well, trail bike. With 140mm suspension travel up front, the durability of the solid carbon leaf spring chainstays, and the addition of a long travel dropper post makes the “Trail” plenty of fun on 95% of the terrain.
The geometry speaks for itself but as one can see, the seat tube angle is fairly slack for flat terrain. Just slide the saddle forward for more vertical conditions.

CROSS COUNTRY
The Cross Country (croscountry) is a classic hardtail race bike that can be built up for the lightweight climbing specialist or the Olympic contender. The carbon leaf spring chainstays balance nicely with 120mm front suspension. Lockout capability keeps the front end under control when climbing hard.
With geometry cues taken from steep terrain bikes, this bike achieves the perfect balance of efficiency for the highest levels of competition. Note that the extra small and small size frames is built around 27.5” x 2.2” tire sizes but will accommodate a 29″ small tread tire.

BIG ADVENTURE
The Big Adventure is an extension of the Calfee Adventure model but designed around a 120mm suspension corrected rigid fork. The carbon leaf spring chainstays combined with 40 – 50 mm tire widths make this a high performance “go anywhere” bike. A low seat tube clamp allows use of a dropper post for more extreme terrain.
Available in sizes from XS through XXL, the bike can be customized with bike packing mounts. The frame geometry is suitable for long, fast stretches on pavement with capabilities to handle the rough stuff.
