You Have Options

You are welcome to send your frame in directly yourself, with the help of your favorite local bike shop, or by visiting a shop that has joined our dealer program.  Our current turn-around time is 7 to 10 days without paint touch-up and 4 to 5 weeks with paint touch-up.  Electronic Retrofits require 4 to 5 weeks.  All repairs are protected by a 10 year warranty.

After shipping the frame to us, please allow us time to receive, document, inspect and prepare the quotation for your repair; only after we’ve managed to do all of those steps will we be in touch.  If you are curious as to whether or not we have received your frame, simply track the package and verify delivery.  Generally, we’ll be in touch 2-3 days after the package has been delivered.

1. Please remove ALL parts from your frame; it is important that we receive only your frame.

A $25 additional cleaning fee will be charged for any frame not prepared in the above mentioned fashion.

2.  Unless otherwise specified do not include headset assembly, stem, or any other small parts, as we will not assume responsibility for loss of, or damage to, any components not integral to the repair process.

An additional labor/handling charge will be issued for any frame not prepared in the above mentioned fashion.

3. Fill out the Calfee Repair Form and include in the box.  If you are a Calfee Electronic Retrofit customer, please complete the Calfee Electronic Retrofit Order Form and include in the box.

4. Ship the box to the address on the form. We prefer FedEX, UPS or BikeFlights.  Customers using BikeFlights, or providing their own shipping labels, will be charged a $25 handling fee.  Should the frame be damaged in transit, be aware that shipping companies share a similar policy regarding their maximum out-of-pocket liability; paying only for the cost of the carbon repair – resultant from the damage in transit – rather than the full declared value.

If you are an international customer, please note on the box and forms that the item is for repair.  Otherwise, you will be liable for import duties.

5. We will call you within 2-3 business days of receiving your frame for repair.
